As Others See DT

When David Tereshchuk is written about, appears on TV, or is quoted in newspaper, magazine or web articles, it is usually in connection with his media analysis, or his work on the Northern Irish situation or on Third World development issues.

DT IS NOTED FOR HAVING SPENT three decades of his career observing, documenting - and often advising policy-makers about - the battle against poverty in the developing world. He has concentrated, though not exclusively on African countries, and his TV documentaries, especially those shown on British networks, have rigorously portrayed the struggles of impoverished peoples. He was a co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of Britain's International Broadcasting Trust – a non-profit broadcasting and publishing organization devoted to raising Western public awareness about development questions.

DT's FRONT-LINE WORK has its roots in reporting "The Troubles" in Northern Ireland. His eyewitness evidence about the 1972 Bloody Sunday massacre in Derry was reported extensively at the time. It has featured again more recently – in the wake of DT’s summons to testify at former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair's public inquiry, chaired by High Court Judge Lord Saville.
